Amsel.inc ("we", "our") respects the privacy of our users.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the
Android application "Activity Indicator" (the "App").
1. About the App
The App displays the icon of the Android application currently in the foreground
on a small Bluetooth-connected external display (the dedicated display,
purchased and configured separately by the user).
2. Information We Collect
The App collects only the following two pieces of information:
The package name of the application currently in the foreground
The timing of app switches
The App does NOT collect:
Screen contents, text, or images
User input (keyboard, voice, touch positions)
Notification contents
Account information or credentials
Personal data such as location, contacts, camera, or microphone
Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID)
3. Use of Information
Collected package names are used solely to display the corresponding app icon
on the paired dedicated display. We do not use this data for analytics,
advertising, or any other purpose.
4. Data Transmission
Package names are converted to a hash value (FNV-1a 64-bit) on the Android device
and transmitted via Bluetooth Low Energy only to the dedicated display
paired by the user.
No transmission to the internet
No upload to our servers or cloud storage
No sharing with third parties (ad networks, analytics services, etc.)
5. Data Retention
Data is stored only on the user's Android device and the paired dedicated display
Locally stored data includes the user's selected app list and transfer history
(in SharedPreferences)
Android device data is automatically deleted when the App is uninstalled
Data stored on the dedicated display (saved icons, etc.) is deleted via the in-app
"Clear All" button or by resetting the dedicated display — it is NOT removed by
uninstalling the App
The in-app "Clear All" button clears both the Android device data and the icons on
the dedicated display at any time
6. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share collected information with third parties except as required by law.
The App does not include any third-party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs.
7. Security
Bluetooth communication occurs only between paired devices
Pairing is managed by the operating systems of the Android device and dedicated display
Users can unpair the device at any time via Android settings
8. User Rights
Users may freely:
Disable the Accessibility Service via Android Settings > Accessibility
Clear transfer history via the in-app "Clear All" button
Uninstall the App (Android device data is automatically removed)
Unpair the dedicated display
9. Children
The App is for general audiences and does not target any specific age group.
If users under 13 use the App, parental consent is recommended.
10. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as needed. Material changes will be announced via
app updates or on the store listing.
